Mentorship will be conducted virtually, allowing flexibility and access to Yara experts across India and globally.
Mentorship in this program means getting personal guidance from experienced professionals at Yara. Over six months, you’ll connect with your mentor through virtual meetings to talk about your research, ask questions, share challenges, and get advice. Students decide what topics they want help with. The mentor will only give input on the areas the student asks about, so the experience is fully tailored to the student’s needs and interests.
This can specifically be useful to students to understand how academic work real-world impact can have, learn about industry trends and innovation in agronomy, support in building professional profile (CV, LinkedIn, interview skills), or hear about career paths in agriculture.
It’s designed to be flexible and supportive, helping students grow both academically and professionally.
If you choose to discontinue your PhD studies after receiving the award, you’ll need to inform Yara India immediately. Since the award is intended to support ongoing research and development, dropping out may affect your eligibility to continue receiving mentorship or be profiled as an awardee. The program is built on trust and commitment to academic growth.
The program includes corporate exposure and visibility into Yara’s career paths, helping scholars get valuable insights that can help them prepare for roles in industry and research.
