I know I cannot control the rain, the sun or the wind….. but the breath of my soil is in my hands and that is what makes me Matti ka Rakhwala.

Mr Prashant

My name is Prashant Ghogare, from Upla, Dharashiv, Maharashtra, and for me grape farming is not just a profession - it is a responsibility to guide my community toward smarter, scientific agriculture.

Every season, I begin with soil testing, canopy management, and a well-planned nutrition schedule. I believe the real strength of a grapevine comes from the strength of the soil - so I focus on balanced fertigation, organic matter, and precise moisture control to keep my land healthy and productive.

I avoid excess water and heavy chemical use because shortcuts may look easy today, but they weaken the soil and the future of the vineyard. Instead, I follow sustainable practices at every step from pruning to bunch management ensuring that every cluster grows uniform, sweet, and ready for the market.

Farmers in my area trust me for guidance, and I share my knowledge openly, because I believe that when one farmer grows, the entire village grows with him.

For me, the future of grape farming lies in science, technology, and healthy soil.
And as long as I walk on this land, I will remain a proud Maati Ka Rakhwala.
