The soil on my hands carries the sweetness of my hard work… and that sweetness feeds the nation. This is my duty, this is my guardianship.

Ashitosh

My name is Ashitosh, and I grow sugarcane and onion — two crops that demand patience, timing, and complete dedication. For me, farming begins with observing my land closely… understanding its moisture, its texture, and how it responds to every irrigation and input. My soil speaks to me, and I listen.

I rely on my experience and field knowledge to plan my nutrition schedule, because good farming is not guesswork — it is continuous learning and understanding.

To protect my soil, I follow trash mulching in sugarcane, add organic matter, practice proper intercultivation, and use timely furrow irrigation. I avoid excess water and unnecessary chemical load because they weaken the soil and reduce its long-term productivity.

I believe farming becomes truly successful when a farmer understands his field, works with discipline, and respects the soil like a living part of his family.

I am a farmer. I am a guardian of my land. I am a Maati Ka Rakhwala.
