Healthy soil, prosperous farming — I am Maati Ka Rakhwala

Sangram

My name is Sangram, a pomegranate and sugarcane farmer from Solapur, Maharashtra. For me, farming is not just work — it is a bond with the land that has supported my family for generations. I believe one simple truth: when the soil stays healthy, the farm stays prosperous.

Every new season begins with understanding my soil. I check my soil and do soil test before the season. Instead of using fertilizers blindly, I follow a proper nutrient plan based on soil testing. This helps my land get exactly what it needs for quality fruits and strong cane growth.

To keep the soil alive, I add FYM, Biological products and Balance Nutrition.
In pomegranate, I follow balanced nutrition during bahar management, and in sugarcane, I use quality basal dose and timely foliar application of nutrients to maintain healthy growth.

I also encourage fellow farmers to adopt these soil-friendly practices. For me, soil is a living identity — it breathes, it grows, it sustains us. And that is why I proudly say, “I am Maati Ka Rakhwala.
