Every plant in my soil is my responsibility… I feel every breath it takes, because I am Maati Ka Rakhwala

Mr Tarun Sharma

My name is Tarun Sharma, and high in the snow-clad mountains of Himachal, I rise each day braving the cold, the snowfall, and the harsh mountain winds to care for my apple orchard. The steep slopes and narrow paths don’t scare me — I climb them with purpose, because my apple seedlings depend on me.

Last winter, a harsh frost threatened to wipe out my orchard. But my love, care, and faith stood firm — as unyielding as these mountains themselves. I spent nights protecting my plants, checking each sapling, making sure life stayed within these delicate branches.

For me, every plant has a heartbeat… and I feel every breath it takes.
When spring finally arrives and my orchard bursts into soft white and pink blossoms, I see the proof of patience, devotion, and relentless care. Those blossoms are not just flowers — they are my victory, my hope, and my promise to this land.

I am a farmer of the mountains. I am a protector of my orchard. I am a Maati Ka Rakhwala.
