Programme Details

Infrastructure is the backbone of inclusive growth, yet rural gaps remain stark. In Uttar Pradesh, only 36% of households have piped drinking water, 62.5% have improved sanitation, and many still rely on untreated water sources—directly affecting health, education, and livelihoods.

Infrastructure Development

Key Interventions

Safe Drinking Water

  • Installed Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants to ensure purified, reliable drinking water access.

Sanitation

  • Constructed resilient household toilets.
  • Strengthened drainage systems to reduce waterlogging and improve hygiene.

Community & Mobility Infrastructure

  • Built and repaired internal roads for improved connectivity.
  • Upgraded school and Anganwadi centre infrastructure to support child health and learning.

Outcomes

Improved Water Access

  • Communities now experience reliable access to safe drinking water—addressing a major gap where only 36% households previously had piped supply.

Enhanced Sanitation Coverage

  • 85.7% households now have functional toilets, contributing to safer, cleaner living environments and reducing open defecation.

Better Mobility & Public Spaces

  • Road and drainage upgrades improved daily movement, reduced flooding, and enhanced overall community functionality.

Strengthened Education Ecosystem

  • Renovated schools and Anganwadi centres now provide safer, more conducive learning environments.

In FY 2024–25, Kiran continues to strengthen physical infrastructure across its Babrala, Sambhal operational area—advancing safe water access, sanitation, mobility, and education facilities. These efforts are driving healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable rural communities.
